I would like to thank booksneeze for the chance to read this book as it was sent to me for free, for my honest review.
Scott MacIntyre was born on June 22, 1986. By the age of three his parents had him tested to eventually find out he has a birth disorder of being blind. Scott’s mother always encouraged him to be normal. For example, when he would walk he would look down. His mother said, “Scott you must always look up or ahead but never down.” Scott did graduate from college and got up to speak at the podium with a warm standing ovation in the end. As they all clear out of the area, Scott’s father gets a call about his kidney’s which start to fail. Despite the challenges the family has to endure, they all stick together to keep Scott strong. They encouraged him to enter into the American Idol contest which he did not win but loved the experience to sing in front of an audience. Scott started to play a piano when he was four thus making him successful today as a popular singer and songwriter.
I was very encouraged to read this story of Scott MacIntyre. I grew up with my eyesight and am grateful each day for it. Although to imagine what Scott and his family endured had to be a tough challenge. This story is a true story of Hope.
